Game of Thrones, one of the famous and the long-running epical drama mystery is all set to premier its season seven on July 16, 2017. However by each passing day makers are busy in revealing interesting and astonishing aspects about this fantasy thriller. We have so far enjoyed copious battles and adventurous conflict which had around 100 major deaths in the past six seasons. Almost everyone dies in Game of Thrones and we usually are not very much concerned whether it’s a beloved hero or the white walkers, dragons or even wildfire.
Most Expensive Death on Game of Thrones
Producers work really hard and spend a huge chunk of their budget on filming such scenes where people die garnering more viewers and popularity to the show. But have you ever imagined how much it costs for the Game of Thrones crew to film one of those iconic deaths into the entire season?
Well, the answer to this question was recently revealed by the series creators DB Weiss and David Benioff about the most expensive death to shoot at the 2017 SXSW Festival in Texas. We would have thought that the Red Wedding would be the one or the deaths of Oberyn Martell or King Joffery. Also, we would have imagined the death of Nerd Stark from the season one.
But to the surprise, the showrunners revealed that it was the death scene from the Game of Thrones Season Five Episode 10 when Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) stabbed Ser Meryn Trants (Ian Beattie) in the eyes, chest and the back before slitting her throat. When asked why Trant’s death which let Arya Cross off the first name to cost it the most dollar, David Benioff simply replied: “She couldn’t really poke out his eyes”.
